An executive recruiter’s memo at the heart of a discrimination lawsuit against the National Football League may have used unusually specific language about coach Brian Flores’ background and upbringing. But its concise one-page executive summary format familiar to executive search firms, The Wall Street Journal reported. “A very, very frank analysis of a candidate’s strengths and weaknesses is a part of every executive search,” Heller CEO Martha Heller told the newspaper. Boards, she added, want a “warts-and-all presentation.” The memo, prepared for the Las Vegas Raiders, is part of federal suit filed by Flores against the NFL and several teams.
